“Dream Khurusapha”  What’s this name come from?

Before we are talking about the “Honda Dream Khurusapha”, let's know what is Khurusapha?

Khurusapha is not a government agency, personal business, state enterprise but the Teachers Council of Thailand is a juristic person under the Ministry of Education, which was established under the Teacher Act 1945, whose main duty is to providing advice and opinions on general education policies to the Ministry of Education, promote the position in knowledge and well-being of teachers as well as maintaining the benefits and strengthening the teacher whether from public or private schools must be a member of the Teachers Council of Thailand. This will include those related to the teaching profession as well.

Policies or projects that always get the attention of teachers is to manage and take care of the welfare of teachers in terms of the teachers' well-being to make them more comfortable. It’s including various types of non-wage compensation provided to the teachers in addition to their normal wages or salaries such as the Bualuang project for teachers to buy and build houses, the Teachers Council of Thailand's nursing homes, the Teachers Council's dormitories, the welfare products for members and to help members and families of deceased members, etc. If we’re talking about the popular welfare, the welfare product for members has been popular all the time, ranging from sewing machines, exercise machines, water filters, musical instruments, typewriters which the “Honda Dream Khurusapha” is also one of these projects.

This project was started in 1983 by the Teachers Council of Thailand to help teachers or related person in travel between the accommodation and the school. Especially teachers in the wilderness area, the Teachers Council of Thailand provided motorcycles for teachers which the price is cheaper than the market and also include installments program.
At first, the Teachers Council of Thailand asked for cooperation from various motorcycle manufacturers and distributors but there is only Siam Yamaha Company who cooperated. The model that Siam Yamaha cooperated with is Y 80 MATE amounting 5,000 units and price only 14,800 baht while the normal market price is 18,000 baht. As a result, the order amount was up to 30,000 units, causing the need to set up more projects.

The 2nd and 3rd projects still retained the Siam Yamaha Company but the price has been increased according to the economic changes. For the 4th project in 1988, the sponsor company was changed from Siam Yamaha to AP Honda. AP Honda has reduced the price of the Honda Dream 100 to only 20,950 baht, while the market price of the Honda Dream is 27,000 to 28,000 baht. Which is a much cheaper price than the market price and with such a good price, causing the ordered to be extremely high until there has to be another project. In 1 year, the ordered are nearly 50,000 units until AP Honda is almost impossible to manufacture in time.
Although the price of motorcycle in the market has increased 3 times in 1988, but A.P. Honda has never adjusted the price and always held the same price until it was impressed by many people.

From the ordered almost 50,000 units that A.P. Honda sold to the Teachers Council of Thailand, this made Honda immediately become number 1 in the motorcycle market in Thailand and also creates a positive image not only for the teachers but also for the general public which is a part of what makes Honda known and popular until now.

Honda Dream 100 has been highly popular in many nationwide with high standards, strength enough and combined with a simple and modern look made the Honda Dream 100 become one of the legendary classic motorcycles in the memory of many people. Until now, Honda Dream 100 well known in the name of "Dream Khurusapha "
