Do not forget the important things such as checking the condition of tires before going on a trip because if the tire deteriorates, it can be potentially dangerous and even lead to serious motor vehicle accidents and injuries. CAMEL TIRE would like to present CM-2 and CM-1, sport tires that suitable for a long journey or uphill.

Look far and always check the road conditions and the surrounding environment
When driving up and down the hill, you must look into the distance and always check road conditions. There is a downhill stretch up ahead? Is it steep? Or is the sharp or wide curve? Including think that there may be an oncoming car or a car is about to overtake or not. Thus, it helps not to panic and to be prepared to deal with any situations that might happen.

Use the speed appropriate
Riding a motorcycle up and down hills requires a speed that is appropriate for the route, curves, slopes, as well as assessing the brake and weight of your motorcycle. Do not use too much speed when riding downhill. The speed should not more than 80 km/h, but don't ride too slow until it doesn't correspond to the gear because the motorcycle will not have enough power to go up the hill.

Always use low gear both up and down the hill
While going up and down the hill, always use a low gear. It is recommended that you should not exceed 3rd gear for the uphill. If you start to feel that the motorcycle has no power, it was able to lower the gear to a lower level to increase the engine to be strong and always use low gear for downhill.
For automatic gear motorcycle, twist the throttle a little to prevent the wheels from slipping
Both of the above methods are to cause the motorcycle run slower, known as Engine Brake. This will help slow down the motorcycle without you having to ride the brake.

Avoid using the brakes for too long
For riding downhill, it’s very important not to using the brakes for too long, as this can cause the brakes to burn and become unusable. We can reduce the use of brakes by the Engine Brake technique as mentioned in the previous picture.

Shifting your weight slightly back of the motorcycle
When riding downhill, shifting your weight slightly back will keep your weight balanced between both wheels and this would cause motorcycle stability and easy to control.

Using your knees to grip the motorcycle
For a motorcycle that have an oil tank located between the legs like Big bike. We can use a technique called Knee Grip by gripping harder with your knee. It's like locking up your body with the motorcycle which is to reduce the swing including helping to relieve the weight from going down to the wrist until too much fatigue when riding downhill.
