CAMEL TIRE would like to introduce you about the difference between Tube Type and Tubeless tires.
As many riders know, there are two main types of motorcycle tires in use today
which is Tube Type and Tubeless tires. The two kinds of motorcycle tires are constructed differently and have different advantages and applications.
Tube Type Tire
- Use inner tube to collect air.
- Easier to patch and change tires.
- Able to carry heavier items than tubeless tires.
- When a sharp object pierces the tire, the air in the tube will find its way out fast.
- Cheaper than tubeless tire, both in terms of the price of rubber and tire repair cost
Tubeless Tire
- Tubeless tires do not have the inner tube to hold the pressurized air. Instead, it uses the inner tire wall of the outer tire to hold air.
- It was created to be put on a particular alloy wheel. If you want to put on a wire spoked wheel, it need to add more inner tubes.
- The tire is thicker and has a stronger structure than a tube tire.
- When the tire is pierced by a sharp object, it will leak more slowly than tube tires.
- If there is damage to the sidewall of the tire or large wounds, it will not be able to repair. Only need to be replaced.
- Tubeless tires are more expensive than tube tires.
CAMEL TIRE is available in both types of tires for customers to choose according to the purpose of use. No matter what type of tire it is, it needs to be checked regularly. If it is found that motorcycle tires are in imperfect condition or near the end of their service life should change the new tire for safety
